About Brandywine Pediatric Dentistry

In April 2019, Dr. Jill L. Garrido, an American Board of Pediatric Dentistry-certified dentist with over 10 years of experience in Greater Philadelphia and Wilmington, Delaware, launched Brandywine Pediatric Dentistry (BPD). Today, we remain single-doctor owned, specialty-trained and focused exclusively on the dental care of children from infants through teenagers. So come experience a personal, caring and family-friendly approach to children’s dentistry.

We operate out of our office at 2000 Foulk Road, Suite C in North Wilmington, and are warmly welcoming new patients and their families to experience our enhanced standard of pediatric dental care. Please get in touch by calling our front desk at (302) 475-3110 to schedule your appointment.

We offer a full suite of preventative and corrective dental care for children including:

  • Child’s first dental visit
  • Preventative dentistry consultations
  • Teeth cleanings
  • X-rays
  • Caries/cavities prevention and treatment
  • Fillings
  • Crowns
  • Extractions
  • Special needs

Because some children require an enhanced level of care, Dr. Garrido also sees patients at A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children and Christiana Care Health System.

Understand our values

We believe instilling confidence in young patients is key to ensuring long-term good oral health outcomes. So we go out of our way to partner with parents and caretakers on the common goal of building a child’s confidence through delivering a positive experience on each and every visit to our office.

This starts with making your child feel comfortable during their visit. So we pay attention to the mental and emotional needs of young patients alongside their dental needs. This is important to the success of the child’s first visit and every visit thereafter because positive healthcare experiences early on in a child’s life can help ensure better, long-term outcomes even outside of dentistry.

Since preventing dental decay and cavities is our first area of focus, we will work with you and your child to educate you on the most effective dental hygiene techniques and to implement a regular dental hygiene routine centered on good dietary choices, daily flossing and brushing, twice-a-year dental check-ups and professional cleanings in our office. With this approach we aim to stop dental decay before it even starts and ensure a healthy smile for your child.

Finally, we understand that cavities happen. Even with the best of intentions and the most consistent dental hygiene routines, it’s impossible to get all the “sugar bugs.” So when we have to intervene and fill a cavity, put in a crown or extract a tooth, we do not judge and promise to find the least-invasive solution to treat the decay and restore your child’s smile with patience, kindness and compassion.
